Mesolens of Cambridge and Glasgow has been named in The Physics World 2016 Breakthrough of the Year Top Ten for its "Radical" new microscope.

Es Reid, Mesolens' highly respected optical designer, took responsibility for the optical design whilst Beck took on much of the lens mount design and manufacture and test of the majority of the optical modules within the microscope.

Mesolens aims to use this technology to transform biomedicine and expand into other areas of science after proving the concept within biomedicine. The team at Beck is proud to be part of such a significant breakthrough.
